Replacing the cardan shaft centering element

The replacement of the centering element of the cardan shaft must be carried out in the following order. Prepare fixtures «00.5.500», «11.1.310» And «11.2.030» and remove the propeller shaft.

Completely fill the centering hole (1, fig. 10.30) thick grease. Hammer with a plastic head to hammer the mandrel «11.1.310» into the center hole. In this case, the grease will squeeze out the centering element. Add lubricant as needed. Remove the centering element and remove the grease from the hole.



Press in centering element using mandrels «00.50.500» And «11.2.030», up to the value of protrusion (Ah, fig. 10.31), equal to 4–6 mm.
