Note. Insufficient tightening torque leads to oil leakage. Too much tightening torque will damage the oil level sensor.
The oil level sensor must be replaced in the following order. Switch off the ignition. Remove the stiffening plate, unscrew the oil drain plug and drain the oil from the engine. Dispose of the drained oil for recycling.
Disconnect loop (1, fig. 5.192) from the oil level sensor. Loosen the nuts (arrows) and remove the oil level sensor (2).
When installing the sensor, clean the sealing surface on the oil pan. Replace the oil level indicator sensor seal.
Install the stiffening plate and tighten its bolts to a torque in two steps - 56 Nm + 90°. Fill the engine with oil and check its level.
