Engine control automation includes control system sensors (see fig. 4.20) and electronic control unit (ECU) KSUD, which has its own specific program.
Whenever a control unit is replaced, the software and hardware version must be read out using the DIS tester. Depending on the operating mode, the ECU receives various information from the sensors, which are compared with the values stored in its memory. The block also works according to the self-learning program, when data on the modes and style of driving are accumulated and averaged. Removing the control unit is similar for all engine models.
