Attention! Brake hoses must not be exposed to oil or gasoline, and must not be varnished or coated with underbody protection.
Check the freedom of movement of the hoses by moving the front wheels to the extreme positions. The hoses should be slightly slack, not twisted or in contact with anything.
Removing the front brake hose must be carried out in the following order. Mark the position of the wheel relative to its hub with a marker. Loosen the wheel mount, place the front of the car on stands. Remove the wheel in the area of the hose to be replaced.
Lightly press the brake pedal and lock it (see fig. 11.3).
Unscrew the brake line with union nut from the brake hose connector (right arrow, fig. 11.57). Unscrew the brake hose from the caliper (left arrow).
Attention! When unscrewing, hold the brake hose with a hexagon wrench to prevent it from turning in the mounting bracket (holder).
When unscrewing, brake fluid may leak out, which must be collected and further disposed of. The installation of the front brake hose should be carried out in reverse order, with the brake hose connected to the caliper first. Set wheels for straight driving. Insert the brake hose into the mounting bracket. Tightening torque of the nut of the hose fitting and the tip of the pipeline - 14 Nm (1.4 kgf·m). Connecting the hose to the front brake caliper - 24±2 Nm (2.4±0.2 kgf·m)
For the hoses of the front brake mechanisms, on a raised vehicle, check the freedom of movement of the hose when shifting the steering to the extreme positions. Repeat this operation with the vehicle at a standstill.
Make sure the hose (pic. 11.58) not twisted and in no case did not come into contact with body parts. Bleed the brake system and check its safety.
Removal of a back brake hose should be carried out in a similar order. In this case, the valves must be opened (1, fig. 11.59) retainer (2) pipelines. Disconnect lines from hoses. Loosen the nuts and remove the plastic gasket (3). Unscrew the brake hose from the caliper.
When installing the rear brake hose, the pipe clamps must be replaced. Pay attention to the position of the pipelines (pic. 11.60).
First connect the brake hose to the caliper and tighten its fastening, and then tighten the fastening of the brake hose to the pipeline (pic. 11.61). Insert the brake hose into the mounting bracket.
Attention! When installing, do not twist the brake hose under any circumstances.
Nut tightening torque (M10x1 and M12x1) hose fitting and pipe tip - 14 Nm (1.4 kgf·m).
Connecting the hose to the rear brake caliper with a hollow bolt (M10x1) carry out with a torque of 40 Nm (4.0 kgf·m).
