The replacement of the booster pump must be carried out in the following order. Drain the brake fluid from the expansion tank. Remove the mudguard of the left front wheel, for which remove the expansion rivets (1, fig. 11.71) and unscrew the bolts (2).
Remove bolt (5, see fig. 11.70) fastening the pump bracket to the body. Unlock and disconnect the loop (upper arrow, fig. 11.72) pump. Place a rag near the brake line fittings. Mark installation sites and disconnect pipelines (see bottom arrows) brake drive from the booster pump.
Remove spillage of brake fluid. Remove the booster pump from the rubber shock absorbers, together with the casing and bracket. Remove bolts (13), rearrange the protective cover (7) and bracket (2).
The installation of the booster pump should be carried out in the reverse order, if necessary. Tighten the screws for securing the protective cover and the bracket on the pump to 8.0 Nm (0.8 kgf·m).
Connect the brake pipes according to the markings on the booster pump:
- HZ, pipeline to brake master cylinder;
- VA, pipeline to brake reservoir.
Tighten union nuts of unions of brake pipelines the moment of 14 Nm (1.4 kgf·m). Tighten the pump bracket mounting bolt on the body to a torque of 8.0 Nm (0.8 kgf·m).
Upon completion of work:
- connect the device for changing the brake fluid;
- activate the booster pump using the system «DIS»;
- bleed the front wheel drive circuit.
