The front bumper is structurally made in the form of a transverse beam with a front guard (pic. 18.3), which is covered with cladding (pic. 18.4), which allows you to withstand impact at speeds up to 4 km / h without damage. In this case, the impact energy is absorbed by the transverse beam and the bulkhead, the lining may be damaged. The remaining energy is transferred to the side members of the body frame. At a speed of 15 km/h, energy is absorbed due to their deformation, which prevents damage to the engine mount brackets and front suspension elements.
