Removal and installation of a flywheel

1. Remove the manual transmission together with the clutch or AT (see chapter Manual gearbox and clutch or automatic transmission).





2. Fix the flywheel with special tool no. 11 2 070.



3. Turn out bolts of fastening of a flywheel by means of the special adaptation No. 11 4 180 and remove a flywheel.

4. On the crankshaft flange, clean the threaded holes for the flywheel mounting bolts.



5. The position of the dual-mass flywheel is fixed with a special short sleeve (1), whose position on the flywheel is marked with two slots next to the corresponding threaded holes.

6. Lightly lubricate the threads of the flywheel mounting bolts with engine oil and tighten them to the required torque.
