After disassembly, the wheel bearing assembly must be replaced.
1. Remove the brake disc (without disconnecting the brake hose) and ABS wheel sensor (see chapter Brake system).
2. Remove the hub cap with a screwdriver.
When installing, use a new cap.
3. Loosen the castle nut and release it using, for example, wrench no. 31 2 080.
When installing, use a new nut.
4. Remove the bearing assembly using tool no. 33 2 116/33 4 201/202/203 and wheel bolts (1).
5. If necessary, remove the bearing inner race from the end of the suspension beam using special tool no. 33 4 402. To do this, put tool no.
6. Alternatively, you can use tool no. 31 2 100 to remove the dust boot and inner bearing race after removing the protective cover.
7. Install gasket (1) for a new duster (2).
8. Install the protective cover (1) and a new duster (2).
The hole in the boot must be aligned with the hole in the steering knuckle. Screw the mandrel No. 31 2 110 up to the stop.
9. Fit a new wheel bearing assembly and press it in using drift no. 31 2 110.
10. Screw new castle nut, tighten it to the required torque and lock it by tapping it.
When tapped, the nut must lock into the groove!
11. Install a new cap on the sealant.
12. Install wheel sensor and brake disc.
