Screw the drain plug (bolt) with a new o-ring and tighten firmly, but not too tight. The tightening torque for a bolt with a 17 mm hexagon is 30 Nm, with a 19 mm hexagon is 60 Nm. Pour fresh oil through the fill port on the valve cover.
Start the engine and let it run at high speed (about 2500 rpm), until the oil pressure warning light goes out (about 5 seconds). Stop the engine.
After 5 minutes, check the engine oil level on the dipstick.
Close the flap in the lower engine compartment under the oil sump and use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the locking screw ¼ turn to secure the flap.
After the test run, check the tightness of the drain bolt and the oil filter and, if necessary, retighten them.
Stop the warm engine and after 2 minutes check the oil level again, add oil if necessary.
If necessary, reset the service indicator. This requires a special expensive device, so for such an operation you should contact the workshop.
To better control the operation and condition of the engine, it is better to use the same grade and brand of oil that was in the engine before when changing the oil. It is recommended to stick a special plate on which the characteristics of the oil are indicated.
Avoid mixing different grades of oil, as engine oils of the same type but different brands may not be compatible. It is possible to add a small amount of oil of the same viscosity, but this is only as a last resort.
