Attention: Throttle thrust is very sensitive to longitudinal fracture, so it must be handled with great care during installation. One slight longitudinal fracture can later lead to breakage during movement. Therefore, rods that have been bent cannot be installed.
On vehicles with automatic cruise control (Tempomat) an additional gas thrust is installed on the throttle lever. If necessary, remove this rod in the same way as a regular rod.
Adjustment
Depress the accelerator pedal to the full load position and secure in this position. To do this, insert a suitable board between the seat and the accelerator pedal.
Press the throttle lever into the full load position and turn the adjusting nut at the rubber support -1- until the throttle cable is tightened, see following figure. Release the accelerator pedal.
Removing the gas thrust from the throttle lever
Apply throttle with the throttle lever to loosen the throttle rod nipple.
Pull the nipple -2- out of the segment.
Pull the throttle cable cover out of the rubber insert of the anti-support -1-.
Gas draft installation
Insert the cable tie through the rubber insert of the counter-support.
Slightly increase the throttle with the throttle lever and reinsert the cable tie-rod nipple. Check throttle adjustment.
