Attention: In order to be able to continue the journey, it is also possible, especially in summer, to top up with clean water. However, after this, it is necessary to bring the concentration of antifreeze in the coolant to the required level as soon as possible.
Gas engine:
Diesel engine:
Coolant level when engine is cold (liquid temperature approx. +20°C) should be located at the MAX mark on the expansion tank. The end of the red float rod -arrow- must be at the same height as the upper edge of the filler pipe on the expansion tank.
To avoid engine damage, fill in cold coolant only when the engine is cold.
Caution: Do not open expansion tank cap when engine is hot. Risk of burns from steam! The cooling system is under pressure! Open the cover only when the coolant temperature is below +60°C. Before opening the lid, put a cloth on it.
When opening the cap, first turn it only slightly to relieve excess pressure. After that, unscrew the cover to the end and remove.
If the coolant level drops in a short time, perform a visual cooling system check for tightness.
