Withdrawal
Starting from the bottom, remove the outer seal of the window pane in an upward motion.
Remove inner door trim.
Attention: On a vehicle with a side airbag, disconnect the battery ground wire - see chapter "Removal and installation of the door lock". When working with an airbag, observe safety regulations.
Carefully detach the foam lining in the rear area of the doorway, tilt it forward so that the adjusting screws are accessible (see further fig. W-4B353), and secure in this position with adhesive tape -1-.
Loosen screws -arrows- of clamping jaws.
Tilt window pane slightly forward and pull upwards backwards.
Installation
Insert the window glass into the clamping blocks.
Connect the power window on/off switch. If disconnected, connect the battery ground wire.
Use the on/off switch to close the window glass, leaving a gap of 10 mm.
Adjust the window glass by setting the following clearances: A = 5.4 mm, B = 10 mm. To do this, move the window pane in the longitudinal direction with loose clamping jaws or move the rear clamping jaw so that the edges of the window glass become parallel to the door frame. In this position, tighten the clamping screws to 10 Nm.
Disconnect the electrical connector for the power window on/off switch. If necessary, disconnect the mass wire of the battery.
Install door trim. If available, install side airbag.
Position the outer seal of the window pane shaft so that it rests snugly against the door edge at the rear.
