This system prevents the drive wheels from slipping even under adverse conditions (ice) and thus, within the framework of physical capabilities, ensures the stabilization of the movement of the car.
This system is activated when the engine is started.
The ASC warning lamp goes out after the engine is started.
To turn off the system, press the button - the control lamp lights up.
To turn it on, press the button again - the control lamp goes out. The flashing of the control lamp means that the ASC has entered the regulation mode, that is, according to the driving conditions, it is forced to regulate the drive forces of the wheels.
If the control lamp does not go out after starting the engine or lights up while driving, this indicates a failure of the ASC. The car can be operated normally without ASC, but if possible, we recommend that you contact a BMW workshop to have the system repaired.
