The rear axle gearbox is located in the middle of the rear axle. It is fixed on the beam of the bridge and is connected through a rubber support to the bottom of the frame.
The cardan shaft is connected to the secondary shaft of the gearbox and to the flange of the drive bevel gear, It transmits torque from the gearbox through the rear axle gearbox and half shaft to the rear wheels. The rear wheels are steered by diagonal levers which rest on the rear axle beam via maintenance-free rubber mounts.
