Withdrawal
On vehicles with electrically operated exterior mirrors, remove the control button. Insert a small screwdriver into the switch slot and pull the switch out.
On vehicles with a power window handle, remove the cover from the handle and unscrew the bolt located under it. Remove the handle.
Loosen the 2 screws -arrows-, having previously removed the plastic cover from the left screw with a small screwdriver.
Release the door lock button.
Unscrew the inner trim or loudspeaker from the rear-view mirror. To do this, unscrew screw 1, detach loudspeaker grille 2 from above, then unscrew bolt 3.
Detach the inner door trim at the clips. The location of the clamps is indicated in the section "Installation".
Pull the inner door trim upwards. At the same time, the sealing of the glass shaft located on the door lining is removed from their clamps.
Disconnect the lock control cable from the inside door handle.
If necessary, carefully remove the foam lining from the door cutout.
Note: The adhesive seal adheres better to the foam lining if it is removed at low temperatures.
Installation
Carefully stick the foam lining on the door cutout.
Attention: Do not damage the lining, otherwise the car will be drafty. The adhesive must be applied along the contour, otherwise purchase a BMW butyl cord and adjust the adhesive seal.
Detach clips 1 from door trim and place them in appropriate positions in the door.
Check whether all clips on the inner door lining are present, replace defective clips.
Connect the remote control cable from the rear side of the door trim.
Insert the trim into the door from above, first pressing it against the door shaft from the front and then from the back, and align it slightly with the door.
Press the trim against the door at the clips.
Close the door lock button.
Screw in the screws at the top of the armrest and door handle and secure the trim.
On vehicles with electrically operated exterior mirrors, put the connector on the switch. I inserted the switch into the armrest, put on the mirror control button. The button can only be set in one position.
On vehicles with a manual power window, fit the handle with the washer so that when the window is closed, it points forward upwards in the direction of the windshield.
Fasten the handle with a screw, put the pad on the handle.
Install the mirror cover.
