| The setting of the ignition timing is violated (see chapter Ignition system). | |
| Functioning of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases is broken (see chapter Engine management and emission control systems). | |
| Excessively worn or damaged internal fuel injection/carburetor components (see chapter Supply system). | |
| Insufficient tire inflation pressure or wrong tire size fitted (see chapter Car maintenance). | |
| An unfortunate driving style has been chosen, or there is an adverse effect of external factors. | |
There are fuel leaks or a distinct smell of gasoline If fuel leaks are suspected, vehicle operation should be stopped immediately - leaks in the engine compartment can cause a fire! | There is a defect in the fuel supply lines or gas tank ventilation (see chapter Supply system). |
