Twice a year or every 10,000 km (what comes first).
Rotation can be done either through the channels indicated in the Chapter Car maintenance intervals, or when signs of uneven tread wear appear. However, remember that if you successfully rotate all four wheels, you will eventually have to change all tires at the same time.
Since this procedure requires lifting the vehicle off the ground and removing the wheels, check the operation of the brakes at the same time (see Section Checking the brake system).
Even if you are not going to rotate, at least check the tightness of the wheel bolts.
It is recommended to rotate according to a special scheme, so that the direction of their rotation is the same.
1. Refer to the information in Section Jacking, towing and changing wheels to properly raise the vehicle and change the wheel.
2. The vehicle should be winched or placed on axle stands so that all four wheels are off the ground. Make sure the car is securely fastened!
3. After completing the rotation procedure, check and adjust the tire pressure and be sure to check the tightness of the wheel bolts.
