Installing the crankshaft

Make sure that the crankshaft journals and main bearing shells are the same size group. Color indexes (red or blue) on the main bearing shells must be identical to the indices on the crankshaft main journals.

Note. On crankshafts with reground main and connecting rod journals, there are risks indicating the repair size: one risk is the 1st repair size; two risks - 2nd repair size; three risks - 3rd repair size.

The new crankshafts have color indexes on the counterweight side (red or blue).
