Checking the axial clearance of the crankshaft

Install the crankshaft rear oil seal holder with a new gasket.

Install the flywheel on the crankshaft. Block the flywheel with retainer 7007, install new fastening bolts, having previously applied Loctite Ns 41 type sealant with activator T to their threads, tighten the bolts to a torque of 10-11.5 kgf·m.

Remove the retainer. Mount the indicator stand so that the indicator leg rests on the ground surface of the flywheel. Moving the shaft in the longitudinal direction with a lever, measure the axial clearance of the shaft with an indicator, which should be within 0.085-0.174 mm.
