Attach a powerful screwdriver or similar lever to the tensioning element, see illustration. While pressing down, compress the belt tensioner and remove the ribbed V-belt.
Apply a new V-ribbed belt according to the diagram shown, squeezing the belt tensioner, as when removing. Pay attention to the position of the grooves on the pulleys.
Unload the tension roller. The tension is determined by the tension element and is not adjustable.
Install the engine compartment undertray.
Lower the car.
