Headlight adjustment

Headlight adjustment is of great importance for driving safety. Fine adjustment of the headlights is only possible with the help of a special adjustment device. Therefore, only where the adjustment can be made and what conditions must be met are given here.

Tire pressure must be correct.

The unladen vehicle must be loaded with a weight of 75 kg (1 person) on the driver's seat.

Fully fill the tank with fuel.

Park the car on a level surface.

Pump the front of the car hard several times to settle the suspension.

Set the headlight range control on the dashboard to "ABOUT".

Check that the headlights are correctly installed in relation to the hood of the engine compartment and the front trim, see section "Removal and installation of headlights".

The headlights are adjusted with the dipped beam headlights on. The beam tilt for normal headlights is X = 10 cm at a distance of 10 m. For fog lamps, X = 5 cm at a distance of 5 m.
