Withdrawal
Remove inner door trim.
Carefully remove the seal from the door cutout.
Unscrew and detach the inner door handle.
Lower the window about 30 cm.
Caution: To ensure safety, disconnect the power window motor connector (Figure W48246. -7-). Risk of injury!
Have an assistant hold the glass.
Remove the retaining clips with a screwdriver.
Press the glass out of the spherical cups of the power window levers -6- and move the guide upwards by hand. Fix the glass with a suitable hook so that it does not fall.
Carefully drill out 4 rivets -arrows- with a 6 mm drill bit.
Loosen the screw on the guide rail.
Attention: Mark the position of the bolt with a felt-tip pen, outlining its head.
Remove the power window assembly.
If necessary, unscrew the motor from the power window mechanism (3 bolts).
Installation
Insert, align and screw the power window mechanism. Drilled rivets during installation should be replaced with M6 x 10 mm bolts. From the rear, screw on and tighten the nuts with 6.4 mm washers. Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Lower the glass, insert it into the guide and secure with 2 clamps.
Screw on the guide rail in accordance with the markings made.
Connect the power window motor connector and carefully raise and lower the window.
Check that the glass is correctly adjusted, the top edge of the glass must be parallel to the window frame and the glass must sink evenly into the window seal. The outer seal must lie flat against the glass, otherwise wind noise will be heard when driving.
Carefully stick the door seal on the cutout, install the inner door trim.
