- Thoroughly clean the connections and their surroundings before removing them.
- Place removed parts in a clean place and cover. Use film and paper. Do not use brushed rags.
- Exposed elements must be carefully closed or covered if repairs are not carried out immediately.
- remove spare parts from the packaging just before installation. Install only clean parts.
- Do not install parts that were not in the package (e.g. taken from a toolbox).
- With an open fuel system, if possible, do not work with compressed air. If possible, do not move the car.
Fuel supply problems
In case of violations of the fuel supply, check the power supply system in the following sequence:
- Check if there is fuel in the fuel tank.
- Disconnect the fuel hose going to the fuel pump from the carburetor and substitute the appropriate container. Briefly turn on the starter. At the same time, fuel should flow out of the hose in pulses.
Warning: Flammable! Do not make open fire!
- Check fuel pump supply pressure. Set value: 0.2-0.3 bar at 4000 rpm.
- If fuel is not supplied, disconnect the supply hose from the fuel pump.
- If fuel leaks from there, check the pump for leaks or the screen is not clogged.
Attention: On the latest pumps, the cover does not turn away, so the filter mesh cannot be cleaned.
- If fuel does not come out, disconnect the hose going to the fuel tank and blow it out.
- Check the patency and clean the fuel tank ventilation system.
