Withdrawal
Loosen wheel bolts.
Remove decorative cap. Mark the position of the rims on the wheel hubs with paint. Thanks to this, the balanced wheel is subsequently set to the same position.
Raise the front of the car and remove the wheel.
Loosen brake caliper mounting bolts -1- and remove brake caliper from brake disc.
Hang the brake caliper on the wire so that the brake hose and wear sensor wire are not stretched or twisted.
Caution: Do not unscrew the brake hose, otherwise you will have to bleed air from the brake system.
If complete removal of the brake caliper is required, the brake hose -2- must first be unscrewed. In other cases, the brake hose does not need to be unscrewed.
Caution: Collect leaking brake fluid in a bottle intended exclusively for brake fluid. You can also pump out the brake fluid from the expansion tank.
Unscrew bolt -4- with a 5 mm open end wrench.
Remove brake disc.
Installation
To ensure uniform braking on both sides, the surfaces of both discs must be the same in surface finish and finish. Therefore, it is necessary to replace both disks at the same time.
A service station can check the runout of the discs. Maximum lateral runout (in position): 0.2 mm.
Measure disc thickness (see section «Checking the thickness of the brake discs»).
If present, remove rust from brake disc flange and front wheel hub.
Remove the varnish from the surface of the new disc with a nitro thinner.
Slide the brake disc onto the wheel hub and secure with the bolt. Pre-turn the brake disc so that the bolt holes match.
Install brake caliper with brake pads inserted. Do not tighten or kink the brake hose while doing this. Check the freedom of movement of the brake hose when turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.
Fasten the brake caliper with a tightening torque of the bolts of 120 Nm. Coat the bolt threads with engine oil first.
Attention: If the brake hose is loosened, it is necessary to bleed the air from the brake system (see section «Removal of air from the brake system»).
Place the wheel in compliance with the marked position of the disk on the hub. Lower vehicle and cross-tighten wheel bolts to 110 Nm.
Caution: With the vehicle stationary, depress the brake pedal several times until you feel resistance.
Check the brake fluid level in the expansion tank, top up if necessary up to the MAX mark (see section «Check of level of a brake liquid and a control lamp of lowering of level of a brake liquid»).
