Checking the corrector of the qualitative composition of the mixture
Remove the corrector for the qualitative composition of the mixture and apply a voltage of 12 V to the corrector for at least 2 minutes, closing the valve body to «mass».
The corrector needle should come out.
Cool the corrector to a temperature of 20°C and check the protrusion of the corrector needle, which should be within 2±0.5 mm.
Checking the protrusion of the actuator needle
Remove the actuator (automatic adjustment valve) and check the protrusion of its needle, which at a temperature of 20°C should be within 4-6 mm.
Checking the throttle actuator of the 1st chamber
Check spring preload size «A» should be equal to 23 mm. In case of deviation from the norm, achieve the correct size with the adjusting nut 1.
Check clearance «IN» between the throttle control lever and the stop screw, which should be 5 mm If necessary, set the specified clearance by changing the length of the threaded rod 2.
Checking the fuel level in the float chamber
Remove the carburetor cover and gasket.
Measure with a ruler the gap between the highest point of the floats of the 1st and 2nd chambers and the mating surface of the carburetor, which should be equal to 28 and 10 mm, respectively. It is adjusted by bending the tongue and float levers.
Adjustment of the throttle opening of the 1st chamber at idle
Tighten the idle speed adjusting screw 1.
Adjusting the throttle valve screw 3 of the 1st chamber, set the crankshaft speed to 550 rpm. Adjusting screw quality (mixture composition) 2, having previously removed the plug, achieve a CO content in the exhaust gases of 2.2%.
With the idle speed adjusting screw 1, bring the crankshaft speed to 900 rpm.
Check that the CO content in the exhaust gases does not exceed 1%.
After completing the adjustment, install in the hole for the adjustment screw quality (composition) mix a new plug.
Engine idle adjustment
Set the idle speed adjusting screw 1 to 900 rpm.
Check the CO content in the exhaust gases
Adjusting screw if necessary (composition) mixture 2, having previously crushed the plug, achieve the proper content of CO and exhaust gases.
Use screw 1 to restore the crankshaft speed to 900 rpm and check the CO content in the exhaust gases again.
Repeat the above operations until you set the CO content in the exhaust gases to no more than 1% at a crankshaft speed of 900 rpm.
